Meet Carmine and you’ll say “all mine”. He’s the cutest little man with an orange brindle coat that feels like velvet. There are ripples of wrinkles that gather on his forehead when he looks at you with that quizzical look as he cocks his head to the side. Your heart melts. He has the calmness of an adult indoors but runs exuberantly outside like the streamlined athlete he is. Being young and athletic he would be that perfect running partner that never calls to cancel. Be on your toes! He’s on the ready and has a zest for life that’s contagious. And oh so affectionate — of course, he’s a pit. He has the face and the eyes of a Rhodesian Ridgeback along with the breed’s confidence and loyalty to those who love and care for him.
He is bright and curious, picking up leash manners in a day and commands associated with walking like a fine young gentleman. He is very strong, weighs 60 pounds and only one year of age so it’s imperative that these manners are reinforced. He is perfectly house trained, neutered and ready to be “all yours” — your friend, protector and companion for life.
Shelter Notes: Handsome Carmine came to us on Thanksgiving Day, brought by two policemen who had only good things to say about him. What a gorgeous dog, dressed in a shiny tiger brindle coat wrapping a well built body softened by attractive almond shaped eyes. Carmine was friendly then, accepting caresses and even a treat. He has remained the same, two days after our first meeting.
