Chippy was rescued from a city shelter in Philly, where he needed eye surgery. AmsterDog took him under their wing and boy, are we glad we did!

Chippy is recuperating well in his doting foster home and doesn’t seem to mind being a one-eyed dog. We think he still is one adorable pup! Originally we thought that Chip was attacked by another dog, but his vet says that his wounds were consistent with human abuse.

Despite all that he had been through, Chip remains a very loving, sweet boy. He is great with other dogs and with cats too. Chippy is up to date on shots, neutered, healthy and is looking for a calm happy place to call home.

From Chippy’s loving foster mom: “Chippy (aka Chipo) has picked out some toys to carry around. Today is the first day he sat only for a short time, usually does this throughout the day for long periods of time, watching the front door whining waiting for the person he loved to show up. Thinking vacation must be over. I have fostered for six weeks. Breaks your heart. He is moving on and walking much better. Needs a loving forever home.”
