Ernie is an awesome American Bull Dog Mix who was saved from death row, thanks to the help of a wonderful foster couple. Unfortunately, this couple travels extensively and Ernie needs some solid one on one attention, so that he can settle down and feel confident.

His foster family tell us:

“Ernie is a really sweet dog and is happiest when cuddling with you! He loves to be right next to his humans and is always giving kisses. He is very playful and still seems like a puppy when you throw a ball or toy around. LOVES to play!”

This very handsome 3 year old 71 lb. boy is quite a character and will make you feel like laughing more than a few times a day. He lived with another dog, Burt, who was adopted out, so we do know that Ernie does like some dogs, but he hasn’t had the chance yet to interact with all kinds of dogs. Because of his high energy level, we would recommend no small dogs.

Ernie’s ideal home would be with someone who works from home, and has time to teach Ernie new things and give him all the love he deserves.

Ernie is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.
