Maybrook, NY –

“Hi, there! I’m Flora – a 1 year old, playful little girl saved from the nycacc by my foster mom, Audrey, who is teaching me to be the best pup I can possibly be!

I’m ready to show off all that I’ve learned so far including basic commands (sit, stay, come, give paw, lay down) and my excellent manners! I sit and wait when it comes to feeding time and I’m very well-behaved while walking on the leash. And, I’m house-trained, of course.

I’m very eager to learn and soaking up all of my foster mom’s training like a sponge – including learning sign language! She says that I’m a *very* bright puppy who is eager to learn. And this way, by the time I get to come live with you, you’ll be very happy you decided to make me a part of your forever family!

I love other dogs, I’m great around kids of all ages, and really love getting to go on car rides.

When I was at the shelter, one of the volunteers who walked me said I was an ‘animated picture of youth, life and health; born to play with people and other dogs.’

So, won’t you please inquire about me? I really want to impress you with how hard I’m trying to be the most perfect four-legged furry companion anyone has ever had!”

Love, licks, and kisses,
– Flora

From a volunteer at the nycacc:

“How not to fall in love with a little girl who aims right for your lap when you take her off the leash? Flora is just like that! Enthusiastic, super friendly, sociable and affectionate. She is still a puppy after all! She is so pretty too in her shiny ebony dress. Her eyes sparkle with mischief. Her smile is radiant. She is an animated picture of youth, life and health. She was born to play with people and other dogs. In playgroup with her peers, she runs wildly, trying to make the most of her freedom and enjoy her new friends.”

Flora is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
