Brooklyn, NY – Snow White is an 8 year old 54 lb. Pit Bull Mix surrendered to the city shelter when her owner moved to a place that did not allow dogs.

Snow White may not have seven dwarves, but she did live with eight adults and three younger children that she would allow to pull her tail, dress her up, and even put makeup on her — what a trooper!!

She is truly something special and deserves the very best.

Snow White had all her shots, is microchipped, and will be spayed as soon as she recovers from her kennel cough.

Update on SNOW WHITE! 2-24 – By fosters Eddy & Nikky:

“We picked up snow white from Brooklyn acc on Friday afternoon. She came to us with her tail wagging and ready to run out the door – she was soo happy to be free and in a loving home! She enjoyed her car ride and getting to meet our 6year old son who she instantly bonded with. It took her a couple days to eat complete meals and to be able to administer her medications.

Snow White is extremely gentle and loves to be loved. She really enjoys to be around people. She will check to see what is going on around the house and then retreat to her blanket-unless I’m cooking – then she hangs out in the kitchen!

She’s very quiet and calm. She loves to watch tv – preferably animated movies with squirrels. And, she is obsessed with the washing machine — she camps out in front of it while it’s running!

Snow white was skeptical in the beginning of her bath, but once she felt the warm water and got a scrubby bubble massage, she sat and enjoyed the pampered life. She loves treats and will take them gently.

She is completely house-trained and knows a couple commands. She has adjusted very well and extremely quickly to our schedule here. We are definitely loving her company and her cool collective demeanour.

As for interacting with other dogs, we feel she can be worked with, but it will take some time due to her having never been properly socialized by her previous ‘owner’.

She arrived with kennel cough and is on her way to recovery, however due to years of neglect, she will be needing some major TLC – including dental surgery and other possible health problems due to her age and rough history.

She will be going to our family vet later this week to get a thorough evaluation – we’ll keep everyone updated! Stay tuned!”
