Tex, formerly known as Julio. a 2 year old fawn and white male Pit Mix, is thriving in his loving foster home.
This 67 lb boy just got neutered, is getting along famously with his canine siblings and is all ready to find his furever home.
From Tex’ foster mom:
“Hello, my name is Tex. I’m a sweet, goofy, lovable, playful, inquisitive boy, who is looking for my furever home. I’m from Staten Island, where at the shelter, I was a really good boy, friendly to everyone, & played nicely in playgroup. Some even called me a rockstar!
I’ve been at my foster home since Nov., enjoying life with Mom, Dad, & my 3 foster dog brothers. I get along great with all of them, & especially love play wrestling. I’m friendly to EVERYONE I meet, including kids, & even THE MAILMAN! I enjoy going to the park, & absolutely LOVE playing ball. I learned how to bring it back, drop it, to throw again.
I’ve been working on my commands, such as sit, & stay, & am walking much nicer on the leash too. I’m a very easy going boy, with no food guarding issues. I let my foster brothers near my bowl when I eat, & Mom or Dad can put their hands in my bowl too, if they need to add more yummy stuff. I’d say my only downfall is that I don’t care much for cats, but, hey, I’m a dog! Nuff said!
I love my foster family, but am still searching for my furever family. Until I find them, I’ll continue being a good, happy boy, working on my manners, to be even better than I already am.”
